The proof of an authentic original is seen
in the production process

The Morelia II, loved around the world is now approaching its 30th birthday.
You can see why in a production process filled with attention to detail.

Kangaroo leather selection

Only leather of the highest quality with a minimal amount of imperfections is selected, and each sheet is thoroughly checked before being cleared for production. In particular, because the upper section of the boot is so important for a proper fit, only the best quality leather is used.

Each part is set in the cutting die

There is a tool for die cutting each part of the boot.
Because nearly the entire Morelia II is made of kangaroo leather,
approximately 40 different die cut pieces are required for one pair.

Cutting and sewing

The kangaroo leather and lining materials are cut and then stitched together by a craftsman on a sewing machine.
The finished upper is then set in a last (shoe mold).

Lasting

Two different machines are used,
one for the toe area and one for the sides and heel,
which pull the leather to match the last and then secure it. Because the leather is affected by the temperature and humidity on the day the boot is being constructed,
the machines are adjusted to ensure stable quality.

Sole forming and adhesion

The outsole is formed from resin.
This outsole is then glued to the lasted upper.

Crimping

For stronger adhesion, the front, back, sides, upper,
and lower sections are pressed.
The mold used for crimping is exclusively used for the Morelia II,
having arrived at its final form after undergoing numerous crimp tests,
searching for weak crimp spots, and removing them.

Drying

Crimped boots are then air dried on a rack for 24 hours.
Most soccer boots are removed from the last before drying,
however, by drying the Morelia II while the last is left in,
the leather conforms to the shape of the last,
making for a strong form that does not lose its shape.

Finishing touches

Insoles are added, the boots are laced, and each pair is carefully polished.
At this point a full inspection is carried out,
but the production process is so precise that no boots are discarded.
The Morelia II is perfected with a craftsman’s touch and complete attention to detail.
This high quality is the very reason why it is loved by so many soccer players around the world.
